TORONTO, April 30 (Reuters) - The Global T20 Canada league said on Tuesday it will kick off its second season in July with a clash between the defending champion Vancouver Knights and Toronto Nationals.

The 22-match tournament will be held in Toronto from July 25-Aug. 11 and organisers have promised a bigger, better and stronger cricketing spectacle than last year.

The first season of the league included a number of big-name players, including Steve Smith, who played his first matches since he was banned by Cricket Australia last year for his roll in a ball-tampering scandal.
