Kindl strengthens grip on World Cup lead
Wolfgang Kindl again underlined his superiority in the luge World Cup as he claimed a third win in a row to extend his lead at the top of the overall standings.
The 2017 world champion beat Russia's Roman Repilov and Olympic champion David Gleirscher into second and third with a flawless performance.
Kindl leads the standings with 370 points, while Felix Loch and Johannes Ludwig are second with 265.
Loch recovered from a poor start to eventually finish fourth, while Ludwig was sixth in Calgary.
"I have been doing pretty well all week," Kindl said.
"The competition within the Austrian team definitely contributes to our strong performance. Competition is what keeps us thriving."
