Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo's late burst helped the Norwegian maintain his unbeaten start to the Cross Country World Cup season with skiathlon victory on home snow.
The 21-year-old went into the last lap trailing behind compatriot Martin Johnsrud Sundby but upped the pace with just one hill to go to cross the line first – just 1.3 seconds in front.
It is a fifth World Cup win in a row for Klaebo, who also topped the podium in Norway on Saturday, and he has now opened up a 198-point lead at the top of the overall standings.
The home crowd had plenty to shout about as fellow Norwegian skier Hans Christer Holund crossed third, swiftly followed by Simen Hegstad Krueger.
It is only Klaebo's second season in the World Cup after the young prodigy enjoyed considerable success in junior events – winning three golds at the Junior World Championships in 2016.
And, having claimed individual sprint bronze at this year's World Championships, it seems the skier is making a smooth transition to senior competition.
The athletes will be back in World Cup action in Davos, Switzerland, on December 9 as preparations for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics continue to intensify.
