Maurice Manificat's first Cross-Country World Cup win of the season saw the Frenchman power to glory in the 15km on the Swedish slopes.
The 32-year-old, a triple Olympic bronze medallist, clocked a winning time of 34:55.4, pipping Norway's Simen Hegstad Krueger by just over a second to claim gold in Ulricehamn.
Krueger's compatriot Didrik Toenseth was a further 7.6 seconds adrift as he beat Russia's Sergey Ustiugov to the final place on the podium and his second consecutive bronze.
Manificat's victory catapults him up to 11th in the distance World Cup standings, with Krueger and Toenseth climbing to a respective fifth and fourth.
