Stina Nilsson continued her fine end to the Cross Country World Cup season with victory on Saturday in the Ladies' 10km mass start in Quebec.

In so doing, the Swede added to her sprint win 24 hours earlier and also became the first woman to beat Norway's Therese Johaug over this distance all season.

The Swede crossed the line in 25.51.6minutes, 0.2seconds clear of Johaug who had to settle for silver as she failed to escape her rivals Nilsson and Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg over the 10km course.

Oestberg was third behind her compatriot Johaug, 1.5 seconds back on the victor Nilsson, but can console herself that she remains top of the overall World Cup standings with just Sunday's pursuit to come.

Nilsson's Swedish teammate Ebba Andersson was just outside the podium positions in fourth.
