Rasmus Stjerne's rink came into the match with just one loss to their name and proved too powerful for a struggling German side in the Czech Republic.
It came through a period of prolonged pressure from the Danes who scored five points between the third and sixth ends to go into a demanding lead.
The victors' last point came in the eighth end leaving the final score at 6-1 in Denmark's favour, pushing them rightly to the top of the leaderboard.
China suffered a surprising result against the host nation, forcing them to denounce their top spot after losing 10-7.
The Czech Republic took an early lead with a four in the second end and continued to build on their lead, with another impressive three points in the eighth end.
The bottom of the table clash between Russia and Netherlands came down to the wire with a decisive ninth end allowing Russia to prevail 9-6.
Finland provided another upset against Italy, coming out 7-3 victors and edging closer to their opponents in the standings.
The match was level after the seventh end but that ultimately proved the turning point as Finland scored one in the final two ends.
The men's competition continues this evening with Finland taking on China while Denmark look to continue their run of form against the Netherlands.
The hosts meanwhile take on Italy and Germany and Russia go head-to-head.
