American siblings Becca and Matt Hamilton joined forces to ensure the USA mixed team beat China in the latest round robin match at the Curling World Cup.
The pair helped the USA race into a 2-0 lead after the first end, but China hit back with two of their own in the second end to leave it all square after two.
China then went 3-2 ahead in the third end before four points in the next three ends for the Hamiltons wrapped up the victory.
But it was not as good news for the men’s team as they went down 9-2 to Japan in their Group A clash.
Four points in the second end for Scotland’s men put them in a commanding position against Norway and they went on to win 8-4.
In the other games, Sweden’s men beat Switzerland 9-5 and Norway’s mixed team beat Russia 8-4.
