Korea’s Minji Kim found curling redemption as she guided her team to World Cup glory over home favourites Sweden in Jonkoping.
At the end of last year Minji Kim fell victim to nerves as Korea lost in the final in Omaha – but she overcame those difficulties this time as she guided her team to a 6-4 victory.
In Jonkoping, Korea were faultless throughout as Kim, alongside her teammates – Taei Yang, Hyerin Kim and Sujin Kim – made no mistake from a winning position this time, running the Swedish rink out of stones.
"I am very happy. In Omaha the loss was hard so since then we have worked hard," said Minji Kim. "We will practice very hard for the Grand Final in Beijing.
"I am even more happy to win this after losing in the second leg. We tried to concentrate on our own game. This experience has made us be in good shape for the world juniors."
