GB women boost semi-final hopes after beating Japan 8-6 in curling
Team GB boosted their hopes of reaching the women’s curling semi-finals after an impressive 8-6 victory over Japan in their penultimate round-robin clash.
Eve Muirhead’s side have now won five of their eight matches in Pyeongchang, with their final encounter against Canada getting under way at 00.05 GMT on Wednesday.

Japan had five victories and two losses heading into the clash against GB, and led 3-1 early on after scoring three stones in the second end.
GB responded by scoring five unanswered points, and went on to take an 8-5 lead going into the final end after a steal on the ninth.
Japan had the hammer in the last end, but GB ensured their opponents could only score one stone to ensure victory was confirmed.
