The world number two team were in excellent form and moved 7-0 up inside two ends, before easing through the rest of the contest.
Rivals Scotland followed suit to match Sweden with their eighth win of the tournament thanks to a tight 8-6 victory against Norway that also put them through to the play-offs.
Three points at the eighth end proved decisive, although Norway did almost claw it back late on but they could not prevent a Scottish win.
Canada, who were not in action, also made it through the play-offs as results went their way.
Elsewhere, Netherlands caused a minor surprise by beating Switzerland 8-6.
The Dutch had secured just two wins prior to the contest but stepped it up in the final to claim the win.
Korea claimed victory in the other contest, beating Italy 6-5 after an extra end.
