He knocked the only Russian stone in play out of the house to make it 5-3, keeping the Swedes’ title defence on track in Estonia.
Elsewhere on Monday morning, Italy also kept their perfect record after a comfortable 11-4 victory against Finland.
Germany also had a final-stone win over the Netherlands, with skip Marc Muskatewitz ensuring a dramatic 6-5 victory.
It leaves them just above Scotland in the standings after they toppled Switzerland 8-4, while Norway beat Poland 9-3 in eight ends to take their record to two wins and two losses.
In the women’s tournament, reigning champions Scotland were made to work hard by Italy, who remain the only nation without a victory.
The Scots, skippered by Eve Muirhead, got the points they needed from the final end as they snuck a late 9-7 victory.
Switzerland are still the only team not to drop a match in the women's tournament as they comfortably saw off Finland 10-4.
Sweden beat Latvia 7-4 in nine ends to register their third win of the championship, while Germany and the Czech Republic were victorious over Denmark and Russia respectively.
