British Cycling has belatedly announced the end of Heiko Salzwedel's third spell as a coach with the national governing body.
The German coach guided Sir Bradley Wiggins, Ed Clancy, Steven Burke and Owain Doull to gold in the team pursuit at the 2016 Olympics in Rio in his spell as men's endurance coach.
He had two prior spells with the organisation and was persuaded to return in 2014 by then technical director Shane Sutton.
Salzwedel left British Cycling's National Cycling Centre in Manchester in October, with his departure made official on Tuesday.
A British Cycling statement read: "British Cycling can confirm that Heiko Salzwedel has left his position as men's endurance coach for the Great Britain cycling team.
"Heiko, who coached the team to an Olympic gold medal in the men's team pursuit in Rio, departs with the best wishes and thanks of everyone at British Cycling."
