Some of the world’s best riders have signed up for the three-day event, including World Champion, Belgium’s Kenny De Ketele, who was announced on Friday.
Great Britain’s Jon Dibben will also join the event alongside former GB World and European Champions Andy Tennant; Poland’s European bronze medallists, Daniel Staniszewski and Wojciech Pszczolarski; Austria’s European Madison champions Andreas Graf and Andreas Müller, current Six Day London champions Yoeri Havik and Wim Stroetinga.
That line-up follows the announcement that Laura Kenny, Great Britain’s most successful Olympic female athlete and most successful female track cyclist in Olympic history, will make her Six Day Series debut in Manchester.
Joining Kenny will be GB teammates Katie Archibald and her reigning Madison World Champion partner Emily Nelson, 2018 Commonwealth Games silver and bronze medallist Neah Evans, and European Championships bronze medallist Manon Lloyd. In addition, Dutch 2018 World Champion in the omnium, points and scratch, Kirsten Wild and Czech Republic World Omnium medallist Jarmila Machačová are also confirmed for Manchester.
With ticket’s selling fast, James Durbin, CEO of Madison Sports Group, which runs the event, said: "We are delighted to once again partner with Phynova, this time at the inaugural Manchester event. Phynova Six Day London was a great success and we are delighted to extend our partnership and further develop the cross-over between Phynova’s natural healthcare customers and our own fans.
"To have such a strong line up of both male and female riders including Olympians, World Champions and Six Day legends like Kenny De Ketele, Jon Dibben, Andreas Graf and Andreas Müller, Laura Kenny and Kirsten Wild in Manchester only demonstrates the growing role of the Six Day Series in the track cycling events field.
"To be nearing a sell-out Saturday at the inaugural event in Manchester just highlights the cities passion for sport and music and we can’t wait to see the crowd embrace the unique Six Day event style, in one of the world’s best cycling venues."
As well as the additional riders, Phynova Six Day Manchester has now confirmed the three-day event schedule, which includes Madison, time trials, team eliminations, scratch-races and points race with all riders competing on all event days.
The Phynova Six Day Manchester takes place between 22-24 March at the HSBC UK National Cycling Centre.
