Giacomo Nizzolo of Trek-Segafredo won a tight sprint finish on stage three of the Tour of Croatia.
Nizzolo, who also won the race's opening stage, regained the overall victory from stage two winner Mark Cavendish, who was able to do no better than fourth after failing to get into a decent position to attack the twisting finish.
There had been a six-man breakaway early on during the 190km route from Makarska to Sibenik, which included Mark Christian of Team Wiggins, but the hapless riders were hoovered up by the peloton in the closing moments.
The race continues on Friday with a 122km stage from Crikvenica to Učka.
