Hello and welcome to live coverage of stage 13 of the Tour de France: it's Bastille Day and the whole nation - nay, the whole world - is in for a right treat, with this short but sharp 101km stage from Saint-Girons to Foix.

Mikel Landa moves into the top five with that move today - the Spaniard now 1:09 down on leader Fabio Aru. Team-mate Chris Froome is still six seconds down in second place, while Contador moves back into the top ten at the expense of George Bennett and Quintana rises, too.

Confirmation of the result as Barguil beats Quintana and Contador for the win, with Landa happy to take fourth - and surge up the overall standings.

What a win on the French national holiday for that man in polka dots...

Yates pips Martin for fifth place before Kwiatkowski leads the yellow jersey group over the line 1:47 down.

Yates and Martin are powering towards the home straight...

That's the first French win on Bastille Day since David Moncoutie in 2005.

Contador goes early and has Barguil on his wheel ahead of the final bend...

Yates is about to catch Martin. They have 10 seconds on the others, if that.

Landa and Quintana drive the pace of the leading group, with Contador and Barguil just behind. They still have 1:55.

Yates still has a decent gap - with Martin further up the road... thrilling stuff.

Chris Froome takes matters into his own hand and surges on the front - Aru bridges over with the others, with only Kwiatkowski distanced - but not for long. The Pole comes forward and Froome latches onto his back wheel. It appears that Yates is a handful of seconds ahead - he must have attacked a bit earlier while we were with the leaders.

Five clicks left for the four leaders, who have 2:10 on the yellow jersey group - so the gap is up.

Martin has opened up a good gap here of around 10 seconds. Louis Meintjes leads the chase, with Aru just looking. His main concern seems to be Froome, so he lets Uran and Bardet zip ahead in the road order.

Uran has been reeled in after his brief flurry off the front. Dan Martin is the next to attack - and there's no response, except from Kwiatkowski... Froome has words with Aru...

Uran has opened up a small gap over his GC rivals on this descent - this is interesting... Froome and Kwiatkowski lead the chase.

Not much love from the aerial helicopter images on this wooded descent... the gap is 1:55 for the four leaders, who are approaching the end of the descent - and will have a fight on their hand to retain that advantage. They should hold for the win, but the gap may be down to under a minute come Foix.

Stalemate on this descent for the big GC favourites. The upshot today is that Quintana and Landa are very much back in the GC picture, Contador's top ten hopes are reignited, and Barguil may get a home win on Bastille Day on a day he moves further ahead in the polka dot jersey competition.
