‘I got 7 of em if you wanna borrow one’ – Lance Armstrong reacts to stolen Tour de France trophy

Lance Armstrong took to social media to give his cheeky reaction to the news that the Tour de France trophy had been stolen at a cycle show, telling Geraint Thomas that he had seven, should the Welshman want to borrow one.

The Coupe Omnisports was on display at The Cycle Show in Birmingham after being loaned to Geraint Thomas' Team Sky sponsors Pinarello.

And after Thomas appealed for the return of the trophy, Armstrong responded with a cheeky quip, letting Thomas know of his own prowess in the race.

Armstrong, of course, was stripped of his seven titles back in 2012 after the United States Anti-Doping Agency's decision to ban the 41-year-old Texan for life and nullify his results from August 1998 onward after he admitted to doping.

Thomas, 32, won a maiden Tour de France in July from Tom Dumoulin and Team Sky team-mate Chris Froome.
