Quintana takes lead in Catalunya

Nairo Quintana took the race lead at the Volta a Catalunya while Thomas de Gendt won Stage 4.

This stage was 172km and incorporated climbs at Port de Canto and Alt de Enviny and ultimately Port Aine.

Quintana grabbed the lead from Dan Martin after finishing just over a minute behind de Gendt.

Martin had started with just a six-second advantage and suffered from a combination of attacks in the closing kilometres.
