Denise Herrmann the hero for Germany in relay triumph

Denise Herrmann produced a lightning third leg where she recovered 26 seconds to guide Germany to victory in the women's relay at the Biathlon World Cup in Canmore.

She pulled her team into first place as she overtook France and Italy on her way to the top spot in Canada.

Hermann leads Germany to relay triumph

Herrmann and her teammates, Vanessa Hinz, Franziska Hildebrand and Laura Dahlmeier had one penalty and twelve spare rounds on the day as they finished in 1:10:16.3.
Norway finished second with two penalties and seven spares – 30.2 seconds back – while France rounded off the podium a further 11.4 seconds behind.
