The new look 3m synchro pair, who featured as partners for this first time in competition at the event in Plymouth, topped the standings with a winning score of 387.99.
However, Olympic champion Laugher and fellow Rio 2016 medallist Goodfellow felt they didn't perform to their best.
"Individually we did some cracking dives but unfortunately I don't think it was a true reflection of how we've been doing in the synchronised element of the event," said 24-year-old, five-time Commonwealth gold medallist Laugher.
"We scored some amazing 8s and 8.5s, but we just need to bring that together and I'm hoping it'll come together really well for the World Series."
Goodfellow, the former 10m synchro partner of Tom Daley, switched from platform to springboard after Chris Mears announced he'd be taking a break from the sport ahead of Tokyo 2020.
And 22-year-old Goodfellow revealed he is slowly getting to grips with his new discipline.
"I just need to get more experience in the springboard and I'm competing in the individual as well," said the 2018 Commonwealth 10m synchro champion.
"We didn't have any performance related goals, we just wanted to go out there and get some experience, learn about each other and see what we need to work on for future events such as that London World Series."
