Laugher and Mears heas up Great Britain's Euro squad
Jack Laugher and Chris Mears will be looking to transfer their recent good form to the big stage when they tackle the 2018 European Championships in August.
Laugher and Mears won 3m synchro gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and this summer, the pair will be back in Edinburgh as part of Great Britain's 15-strong squad that will be taking on Europe’s best on August 3-12.
Earlier this month, the pair won synchro silver at the World Cup in Wuhan, China, with the former also taking bronze in the 3m event, and Laugher is hoping for more success in front of a home crowd.
"The pool in Edinburgh has some great memories for me as it is where I won my first Commonwealth title with Chris," said Laugher, who won two medals at the Rio 2016 Olympics and three golds at this year's Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
"It will be great to return and face a new challenge."
Ross Haslam and Grace Reid also returned from China with a mixed synchronised bronze to show for their efforts and they will be looking to build on that success in Edinburgh.
Haslam, 20, said: "This year has already given me the chance to compete in some huge competitions around the world.
"The Commonwealth Games did not pan out the way I wanted but coming back from the World Cup with a medal is an amazing moment I will never forget.
"Now being selected for a Europeans squad will give me the chance to build on these experiences in front of a home crowd, who I hope will be cheering me on."
The diving competition - and other aquatics events – will take place as part of the inaugural multi-sport European Championships.
Cycling, gymnastics, golf, rowing and triathlon are the other sports where European titles will be up for grabs in Scotland while athletics events will also be taking place in Berlin.
