Dominik Brož is already focused on the third event of the FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship season in Rome following an off-form run to eighth in class on Rally Islas Canarias.

The usually-rapid ACCR Czech Team driver lacked pace on Friday’s opening leg and is now hard at work to improve for the next event, Rally di Roma Capitale from 20-22 July.

“We lost a lot of time on Friday and I don’t know where is the problem,” said the PEUGEOT 208 R2 driver. “I was happy with the car but I was not happy with my driving. I was pleased to finish but I hope the next rally will be better.”

Co-driven by fellow Czech Petr Těšínský, Brož reported two notable scares during the all-asphalt event. He narrowly avoided hitting a dog on Friday afternoon and then momentarily went off the road two corners from the end of the final stage.
