Nikolay Gryazin will resume his FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship bid in Italy next week a winner following his dominant victory on Rally Nova Gorica in Slovenia yesterday.
The Russian was fastest on all 12 stages to win by almost two minutes in the Sports Racing Technologies ŠKODA Fabia R5 he shares with co-driver Yaroslav Fedorov.
ERC stalwart Antonín Tlusťák was also competing on the event based 500 metres from the Italian border. The Czech finished fourth in his Fabia.
Meanwhile, Bryan Bouffier’s bid to win Rajd Dolnośląski in Poland lasted until seven stages when he retired from third place. He’ll be hoping to make amends when he joins Gryazin in the Rally di Roma Capitale line-up from 14-17 September.
