FIA European Rally Championship event winner Nikolay Gryazin made a flying start to his 2018 season when he won the Sigdalsrally in Norway yesterday, Saturday.
Gryazin took advantage of the technical failure that forced Mads Østberg to retire while leading to win the winter spectacular ahead of Norwegian duo Anders Grøndal and Henning Solberg.
Russian Gryazin, who was driving a Sports Racing Technologies ŠKODA Fabia R5 alongside co-driver Yaroslav Fedorov, was making his first appearance on the Sigdalsrally.
ERC 2018 begins with the Azores Airlines Rallye from 22-24 March.
