Mattias Adielsson, a frontrunner in the 2015 FIA ERC Junior Championship, will drive the all-new Citroën C3 R5 on this weekend’s Rallye du Var in France.
Run by top FIA European Rally Championship squad Saintéloc Racing, the car is in its first season of competition and is set for ERC action in 2019.
“It will be fun to try another R5 car, our fourth brand in recent years,” said Swede Adielsson, who will be co-driven by Briton Stuart Loudon. “Saintéloc are as professional as a factory team. It will be fun to drive asphalt again. I have never competed on Rallye du Var but I have driven in France.”
A number of ERC drivers past and present will contest the Tarmac event, which takes place from this Friday until Sunday (23-25 November). They include Florian Bernardi, Bryan Bouffier, Nikolay Gryazin and Sylvain Michel. ERC Junior Experience pupil Hugo Margaillan also appears on the entry.
