Florian Bernardi, who took ERC3 honours on Rally Islas Canarias in May, celebrated winning the European Clio R3T Trophy title with a fourth class win on Rallye du Var last weekend.
Co-driven by fellow Frenchman Victor Bellotto, Bernardi was also challenging for class success in the FIA European Rally Championship-counting Rally di Roma Capitale in July when he crashed into retirement.
However, he responded with back-to-back Clio R3T Trophy wins to take the one-make title having finished runner-up in 2017.
“Obviously we are more than satisfied with our results this season, we won the Clio R3T Trophy, which was the number one goal,” said Bernardi. “In parallel with these results, we discovered an exceptional team with outstanding values. The work of Fred Anne was smooth throughout the season without forgetting the collaboration with Rtec Suspensions. I also wanted to thank all my partners who have been with me for years.”
