Gago wants more ERC Junior action

Gago completed a late deal to contest the Pirelli-supported category on the spectacular gravel event, which marked the start of the new ERC Junior season.

After winning his class against strong opposition, the Portuguese wants to continue his triumphant start with an outing on next month’s Rally Islas Canarias.

“I get the budget in the last two weeks to do [Azores],” said Gago, who attracted support from M Coutinho for his Azores bid. “It went well so it would be nice to go to Canrias and have the same [result] there. Then if Canarias finishes good we do one more but at the moment there’s no budget so it’s difficult.”
