Bruno Magalhães says he was “happy” after scoring more points in his bid to win the FIA European Rally Championship for the first time.
Magalhães finished ninth on Barum Czech Rally Zlín last Sunday in his SEAJETS-backed ŠKODA to remain in contention for ERC title glory, albeit 23 points down on defending champion Kajetan Kajetanowicz for two rounds remaining.
The Portuguese struggled for ultimate pace initially but gradually worked his way up the leaderboard to make it into the top 10 and bag what could be two crucial points at a time when his participation on the season-closing events in Italy and Latvia remain unconfirmed.
