Llarena rules out home ERC advantage

Efrén Llarena insists he won’t have a home advantage when he bids for his second consecutive victory in the FIA ERC3 Junior Championship on Rally Islas Canarias next month.
The Rally Team Spain-backed driver tops the Pirelli-supported category following his season-opening win on the Azores Rallye last month.
However, Llarena says his limited knowledge of the all-asphalt event around Las Palmas means he won’t necessarily have the edge over his rivals.
“Technically it’s not my home rally because I did it only last year for the first time,” said the Spaniard. “But we have some experience and we will try to do our best.”
Rally Islas Canarias takes place from 2-4 May. Llarena is pictured with co-driver Sara Fernández.
