Alexey Lukyanuk and co-driver Alexey Arnautov are officially the winners of the FIA European Rally Championship for 2018 after they were honoured at the governing body’s Prize Giving ceremony in St Petersburg, Russia, last night.
Lukyanuk, pictured left with team boss Miroslav Houšť (centre) and Arnautov (right) became the provisional ERC title winners on PZM Rally Poland, the penultimate event of the season in September, following a hugely impressive campaign in their Pirelli-equipped H-Racing Ford Fiesta R5.

At the FIA Prize Giving ceremony held in the Grand Hall of the historic St Petersburg Philharmonia, city residents Lukyanuk and Arnautov were handed their FIA trophies to officially secure the FIA European Rally Championship for Drivers and Co-drivers respectively.

The prize complements the perpetual trophy from ERC Eurosport Events, which was presented at the ERC Awards Ceremony in Paris on Monday night by Eurosport’s Laurent Prud’homme and the FIA’s Jérôme Roussel.

Other FIA title winners honoured in St Petersburg were FIA Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton, FIA World Rally Championship winner Sébastien Ogier and Johan Kristoffersson, who won the FIA World Rallycross Championship for a second time.

Meanwhile, Gabriele Tarquini and Yvan Muller collected the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO for Drivers and Teams respectively. Like the ERC, WTCR OSCARO is promoted by Eurosport Events.
