New rally, new car as Falcón gets back on ERC duty

This is the PEUGEOT 208 R2 Emma Falcón will drive when she returns to FIA European Rally Championship action on Rally Liepāja, which begins tomorrow (Friday).

The Canary Island has been forced to switch cars after her regular Citroën DS3 R3T was badly damaged in a crash in Barum Czech Rally Zlín late August. She drove the GC Motorsport-run car during official testing yesterday.

By switching cars, Falcón – who missed last month’s PZM Rally Poland – will not only start Rally Liepāja equal on points with ERC Ladies’ Trophy rival Catie Munnings, she’ll also be in an identical car to the Briton. But while Munnings has previous Rally Liepāja experience from an outing in 2016, the event is all-new to Falcón.
