This is a graphic of how Giandomenico Basso’s Metiorsport.it ŠKODA Fabia R5 will look when the double FIA European champion returns to the ERC on Rally di Roma Capitale this week.
Basso, ERC champion in 2006 and 2009 and Rally di Roma Capitale podium finisher in 2015 and 2016, will link up with Swiss co-driver Moira Lucca for the first time when the all-asphalt event takes place from 20-22 July.
“I am very happy with this opportunity and to come back to compete in a race that is valid for both the European and the Italian championship,” said Basso. “It will be a very challenging race: the stages are very beautiful and difficult, it will take a lot of concentration. They are all very fast and competitive. Then surely a great thing is the charm of running in the capital, parading through the monuments of Rome. We would like to show to the fantastic spectators our best.”
