The Swiss team are heading into 2019 with a fresh line-up. Dutch rider Nigel Walraven joins Roman Stamm and Sébastien Suchet to ride Bolliger Team Switzerland’s Kawasaki.
Nigel Walraven will be honing his Endurance racing skills with one of the most experienced teams in the international line-up of squads. Bolliger Team Switzerland has just signed the Dutch rider for the rest of the 2018-2019 FIM EWC season. He will get some expert tips from Bolliger stalwart Roman Stamm as well as Sébastien Suchet, who joined the Swiss squad in 2018.
28-year-old Walraven, the Dutch Superbike champion in 2017 and 2018, has also made his mark in the European Superstock 600 and 100 Championships.
Walraven has made a couple of previous forays into Endurance racing. He rode Jackson Racing Honda’s at the 8 Hours of Oschersleben in 2016. More recently, he took to the track at the 2018 Bol d’Or, the opening race of the current season, as part of the Mototech EWC Team line-up, who earned a 17th-place finish on the Castellet circuit.
So Nigel Walraven is definitely a promising new recruit for Bolliger Team Switzerland, who started the season with a superb 4th-place finish at the Bol d’Or.
