David Perret is 4th rider for VRD Igol Pierret Expériences

VRD Igol Pierret Expériences have just recruited David Perret as the substitute for their riders Florian Alt, Xavier Siméon and Florian Marino, and will go into the final tests for the 24 Heures Motos as a full team.

The Viltaïs roster is looking strong on the eve of the 24 Heures Motos tests at Le Mans. VRD Igol Pierret Expériences, who already boast a competitive rider trio, have now hired an equally accomplished substitute with solid Endurance credentials.

Frenchman David Perret will be the ambitious team’s 4th rider, stepping in for Belgian racer Vincent Lonbois, initially slated to compete but unavailable in mid-April.

The 2017 France Superbike vice-champion, David Perret also secured a Superstock podium at the 24 Heures Motos and the Bol d’Or.

He will therefore be of help with last-minute adjustments to the VRD Igol Pierret Expériences team’s Yamaha R1 #333, and a dependable substitute if one of the permanently contracted riders – Florian Alt, the mainstay of the team since 2017, former MotoGP rider Xavier Siméon and former FIM Supersport world championship and Superstock 1000 rider Florian Marino – were to sustain an injury.
