The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has launched a major campaign to combat doping and raise awareness of its dangers. During the race briefing ahead of the 24 Heures Motos, all the riders were encouraged to take part in the campaign, titled ‘Say No! to doping’.
The campaign aims to educate and warn riders of the dangers of doping and the health risks involved in taking performance-enhancing substances. The riders were also given information about products for therapeutic use and the illegal substances sometimes contained in dietary supplements.
The World Anti-Doping Agency has also set up an e-learning platform called ADeL (Anti Doping e-Learning) to give everyone the opportunity to learn more clean sport and the fight against doping.
The riders signed the ‘Say No! to doping’ manifesto to express their interest and support for the campaign, like their MotoGP counterparts, who had signed it during the Qatar GP, the first race of the season.
