Even as a number of Dunlop and Bridgestone-shod factory teams were testing at Le Mans, Pirelli had organized test sessions at Alcarràs in Spain. Team SRC Kawasaki France sealed their choices for the 24 Heures Motos.
Team SRC Kawasaki France are back from Spain, looking serene and confident with just over a month to go for the 24 Heures Motos, the second round of the FIM EWC. The factory Kawasaki squad made the most of their four-day session of intensive testing. ‘We did a lot of riding to evaluate and confirm our engine over a lengthier duration than that of a 24-hour race,’ says Gilles Stafler, the team manager of Team SRC Kawasaki France. ‘We also did a lot of work with Pirelli, who provided us with several new specs. Jérémy Guarnoni, David Checa et Erwan Nigon were able to choose the tyre option that works best for them.’
The Kawasaki squad look all set to get their revenge at Le Mans.
Team SRC Kawasaki France’s next test sessions are scheduled for 2 and 3 April on the Bugatti circuit at Le Mans, during the 24 Heures Motos pre-tests.
