A typhoon struck the Suzuka region last night in Japan, but the Suzuka 8 Hours race day has just started on time after Mobilityland teams night work.
170 km/h winds blew across the Suzuka region last night in Japan. The expected typhoon ultimately hit, causing significant damage to the Suzuka circuit and its facilities.
We acknowledge the hard work of Mobilityland. Precautionary measures had been taken as early as Saturday. Japanese organizer’s teams have worked all night to ensure that this climatic event does not affect the course of the race.
The warm up took place as scheduled on a drying track and in sunny conditions.
