Team Players won the challenge they set themselves at Castellet last September: seeing their name featured in the results right from their debut FIM EWC race, the Bol d’Or.
The French team, who are competing in the Superstock class, made their first outing in the FIM EWC at the Bol d’Or. The Team Players Kawasaki #156 started from a humble 55th on the grid. But thanks to the sheer determination of the squad and their rider trio Stéphane Lacaze, François Noël and Yann Pasco, Team Players were 27th past the chequered flag and 11th in the Superstock class.
Team Players went all the way to the finish of the 24-hour race, making a remarkable start to their FIM EWC career and proving to be the best rookie team at the Bol d’Or. They had made only two previous forays into Endurance racing up to that point: the 24 Hours of Catalunya and the 6 Hours of Spa. Another quirk of this privateer team is that they use Continental tyres, a rarity in Endurance.
At 24 Heures Motos, Team Players reconfigure their line-up. Mathieu Dumas, 32nd at 24 Heures Motos 2017 with Girls Racing Team, will take over from Stéphane Lacaze.
