Following a day devoted to technical and administration checks, the 24 Heures Motos riders and teams took possession of Le Mans town centre.
With three days to go to the start of the race, the 24 Heures Motos participants really got down to business. In the run-up to free practice and first qualifying on the Bugatti circuit tomorrow (Thursday), the entire Endurance crew descended on Place des Jacobins in the heart of Le Mans, giving the general public an opportunity to see the bikes and riders competing in the 42nd edition away from the track.
59 bikes on the gridFollowing scrutineering and admin checks, the final entry list has 59 teams on the starting grid at 3pm this Saturday. Exteria Racing Team, who were expected to compete in the 24 Heures Motos, had to withdraw because of last-minute problems transporting their equipment.
59 machines representing 12 different nationalities will take to the track at 10am CEST tomorrow (Thursday) for one last free practice session before the first qualifying gets underway at 3.40pm.
The first face-off with the clock counting down will offer an early indication of the pecking order of the 2018-2019 FIM EWC’s second round.
