Broc Parkes isn’t letting up the pace. The YART Yamaha rider nearly equalled his fastest time in qualifying during this morning’s warm-up at the 8 Hours of Slovakia Ring. So YART Yamaha looks all set to fight for the win at the 3rd round of the 2017-2018 FIM EWC. Their main rivals will be F.C.C. TSR Honda France, which starts the race from pole position, and a cluster of favourites in the top 7 spots on the starting grid.
Meanwhile, BMW squad Mercury Racing offered fresh proof of its intention to give the favourites a run for their money by setting the second-fastest time at this morning’s warm-up – the final test run before the race gets underway at 12.30pm CEST. The Czech team, which starts from 8th spot on the grid, is counting on riders Karel Hanika, Jakub Smrž and Matej Smrž to shine in the Slovakia race.
