Honda Endurance Racing, currently 3rd in the 2017-2018 FIM EWC provisional standings, has recruited Yonny Hernández to step in for Gregory Leblanc after one of the students at the riding school where the French racer teaches crashed into him. Leblanc fractured his shoulder blade and two vertebrae. He has now begun the rehabilitation process.
Colombian rider Yonny Hernández has raced in MotoGP and Moto2 and is currently competing in the FIM Superbike championship. He is familiar with Honda Endurance Racing, having climbed the third step of the podium with the British team at the Bol d’Or last September.
