World Cup winner Mario Gotze has tipped Usain Bolt to become a big hit in football after bringing the curtain down on his sprinting career.

Having watched 32-year-old Bolt train with Borussia Dortmund earlier this year, Gotre believes Bolt is good enough to clinch a contract with Australian A-League outfit Central Coast Martiners, where he has recently been on trial.
"I think he can make it. I don’t really know the level of the Australian league and I don’t know the teams there," Gotze told Omnisport.
"He is a sportsman and he has a lot of abilities that are important to be successful in football, too."

Gotze scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final against Argentina, but admits he was surprised by the standard of the eight-time Olympic champion, who will return to Australia for a friendly against Wollongong on October 6.
"It was very interesting to have Usain Bolt here," said Gotze. "Just to meet him in person and to see an athlete from a different kind of sport come here to try to play soccer.
"But he did quite well. I have to admit that I expected him to be worse.
"It’s was pretty nice that he was here. Especially because of what he reached in his sport. That’s phenomenal."
