Is Arsenal’s ‘transfer of the season’ a move for Gonzalo Higuain?
Arsenal could be set to make a move Gonzalo Higuain if reports are to be believed.
Muzzi Ozcan, who has links with clubs across Europe including Arsenal and West Ham, was spotted meeting Gunners striker Olivier Giroud in a restaurant last year amid rumours of a potential departure.
And the respected agent tweeted from his personal account that Arsene Wenger's side are close to completing a huge transfer which will be announced in the coming days.
Ozcan's company, Mondial Sport Management & Consulting, currently represents Arsenal stars Giroud, Mathieu Debuchy and Yaya Sanogo, prompting supporters of the north London giants to get rather excited about the 'upcoming' transfer on social media.
But others weren't so convinced about the agent's reliability.
However, later on Wednesday, Tancredi Palmeri, who is a beIN Sports correspondent and a CNN/Gazzetta dello Sport contributor, tweeted that the Gunners had made a €45m offer for Argentina star Gonzalo Higuain.
Again, some fans were dubious.
