Bristol City charged by FA
The Robins were beaten 2-1 at Villa Park at the weekend.
Bristol City have been charged by the Football Association following the behaviour of their players during the recent Championship game against Aston Villa.
The charge relates to an incident that occurred early in the second half of the fixture at Villa Park on Saturday, after the home team were awarded a penalty.
Tammy Abraham scored the spot-kick to set Villa on their way to a 2-1 win against their fellow play-off contenders.
A statement from the FA said: “Bristol City FC has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20 following the EFL Championship fixture against Aston Villa on Saturday (13/04/2019).
“It is alleged the club failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 53rd minute. The club has until Tuesday (23/04/2019) to respond.”
