Robert Lewandowski came off the bench to score a record-breaking FIVE goals in nine minutes to stun Wolfsburg and go top of the Bundesliga.
Wolfsburg had been deservedly leading at the break courtesy of a well-taken Daniel Caligiuri goal midway through the first half.
But Lewandowski then put on a stunning individual performance to score the fastest hat-trick in Bundesliga history and become the fastest player to score five goals in one game.
The result means that Bayern leapfrog rivals Borussia Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga by two points having played one more game.
KEY MOMENTS
26’ – GOAL! Bayern Munich 0-1 Wolfsburg: A great ball from Draxler finds Caligiuri in the box and he rifles a fierce shot past Neuer from the right hand side.
31’ – GREAT SAVE BENAGLIO: He is at his agile best to claw away a fierce strike from Costa that is destined for the top corner.
38’ – HUGE LET OFF FOR NEUER: The Bayern keeper is miles off his line and fails to get to the ball. It falls to Guilavogui who lets fly at goal from the halfway line and it clips the post!
51’ – GOAL! Bayern Munich 1-1 Wolfsburg: Robert Lewandowski bags his first of five, Dante’s tackle on Muller falling straight into his path.
52’ – GOAL! Bayern Munich 2-1 Wolfsburg: Straight from the kick-off and he’s at it again, smashing home from the edge of the box.
55’ – GOAL! Bayern Munich 3-1 Wolfsburg: Goetze plays in Lewandowski with a great pass and he hits the post before smashing home the rebound.
57’ – GOAL! Bayern Munich 4-1 Wolfsburg: A great ball across goal from the exxellent Costa is pounced on from you know who and he scores his fourth in six minutes.
60’ – GOAL! Bayern Munich 5-1 Wolfsburg: It’s the best of the lot as Lewandowski meets Goetze’s cross with a supreme scissor kick past Belaglio.
