37-year-old Claudio Pizarro scored the first goal of his third stint at Werder Bremen in their 2-1 win at Augsburg.
Peru forward Pizarro, who first joined Bremen in 1999 from Alianza Lima, came off the bench at halftime and needed only 13 minutes to put his side in front at Augsburg with a volley from Santiago Garcia's diagonal pass.
Pizarro, the Bundesliga's all-time leading foreign scorer with 177 goals, has now scored in 15 different Bundesliga seasons.
Fin Bartels added a second before Paul Verhaegh pulled one back with a late penalty for Augsburg, who are bottom of the table with six points.
Elsewhere, Prolific Borussia Dortmund kept the goals flowing as they beat arch-rivals Schalke 3-2 in a pulsating Ruhr derby on Sunday.
Gabon forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's goal early in the second half turned out to be decisive for Dortmund after Shinji
Kagawa and Matthias Ginter gave them a 2-1 halftime lead. Dutchman Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored both goals for Schalke.
