Bayern Munich sign Sandro Wagner from Hoffenheim

The 30-year-old forward made four appearances for Bayern Munich after joining the club's youth team in 1995, leaving for Duisburg in 2008.

He has scored 15 goals in 42 outings for Hoffenheim since 2016, and has earned seven caps for Germany.

"I’m thrilled!" said Wagner.

"A long journey has come to an end for me. I’m back home, back at my club in my hometown.

"I’m really happy that it’s all worked out. Bayern are the best team in Germany and one of the best in the world. I didn’t have to think long when the offer came in."
