Franck Ribery to leave Bayern Munich at end of season

Franck Ribery will officially end his 12-year career at Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Ribery, 36, announced on Sunday that he would not be signing a new contract with the German giants.
"When I came to Bayern, it was a dream come true. It won't be easy to say goodbye, but we must never forget what we've achieved together," said Ribery.

Ribery joined Bayern from Marseille in 2007 and in over 422 appearances for the club has won eight league titles, with a ninth to follow if Bayern can hold off Dortmund in the final two games of the season.
Bayern are currently four points ahead of their rivals and another league title will be the prefect send off for both Ribery and his wing partner Arjen Robben.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "Franck and Arjen are great players. FC Bayern owes a lot to both of them and we will give them a wonderful and emotional farewell.
“They've helped shape FC Bayern's most successful decade with fantastic football."
