It's been great seeing so many goals this evening but some of the defending on display has been embarrassing from both clubs. It's not too hard to see why Bayern and Leipzig are clear of these two sides at the moment.
GOAL! Monchengladbach go back in front! Its horrendous defending from Dortmund. Bensebaini skips past Brandt with ease down the left flank before curling the ball into the bottom corner!
Haaland looks to push Dortmund on for a counter but Ginter puts in a fine slide to stop the Norwegian in his path.

- End of 1st Half
Well, it's been breathless. We've had plenty of goals and VAR drama in this highly entertaining first half at Borussia-Park. Second half coming up shortly...
Dortmund have a free-kick on the edge of the box and it's a great opportunity for Dortmund to take the lead just before half-time. Guerreiro's driven strike bounces off the wall and away.
FOUR minutes of added time at the end of this first half due to all the VAR disruption earlier on.
JUST WIDE! Neuhaus has a go from just outside the box but his sidefooted effort bends away from goal!
Bensebaini hobbles off to the sideline with a knee problem but he looks OK to continue.
BIG CHANCE! It's a rapid Dortmund counter-attack and Reus lays it off to Sancho who drags his low shot just wide of Sommer's right post! This game is so open.
Reus gets a corner off Elvedi. Sancho's ball is headed on target by Hummels with some power but Sommer does well to tip it over the bar for another corner. This time Gladbach clear their lines.
Here is that fantastic team goal finished off by Haaland which put Dortmund 2-1 up moments ago.
- GoalNico ElvediBorussia M’gladbach
GOAL! Hummels trips up Neuhaus on the edge of the area and Gladbach have a free-kick in a dangerous position where Hofmann will fancy his chances. His drilled strike is parried by Burki straight back into the danger zone and Elvedi taps it in for his second of the game! It's 2-2! What a game!
- GoalErling HaalandBorussia Dortmund
GOAL! Haaland scores yet again! Reus squares the ball back to Sancho who, after a one-two with Bellingham, tees up Haaland who smashes the ball into the net on the turn! That was an excellent team goal and Dortmund are now in front!
Reus wins a corner off Elvedi for a Dortmund corner as the visitors look for their second.
WHAT A BLOCK! Akanji has a shot on goal which Sommer parries out to Can who half-volleys it back on target, but his shot is headed off the line by Zakaria onto the post and out!
- GoalErling HaalandBorussia Dortmund
GOAL! It's a fantastic goal from Haaland to equalise! Sancho orchestrates the attack, weaving past two Gladbach players before slipping in the Norwegian who cutely dinks the ball over Sommer from a tight angle into the bottom corner. It's a brilliant finish for his 13th goal of the season!
It's getting a bit scrappy now in the Battle of the Borussias. Gladbach are being very physical tonight to stop Dortmund from getting into any kind of rhythm and the gameplan is working well so far.
Reus is slid into by Stindl to effectively stop Dortmund from countering.
Gladbach are still surging forward. The momentum is with them. Dortmund, meanwhile, have not got going yet whatsoever and are yet to test Yan Sommer in goal.
THE GOAL STANDS AND IT'S 1-0 GLADBACH! That took ages but we finally have a decision. To rule it out would have been extremely harsh as it was marginal.
We are still waiting for a VAR decision. The first one took four minutes, this one is taking at least two.
- GoalNico ElvediBorussia M’gladbach
GOAL!! Guerreiro fouls Kramer and Gladbach have a free-kick which Hofmann swings in. It's a fantastic cross and Elvedi heads it in at the far post!! But yet again we are going to VAR. Was he offside?
Gladbach have started well on top here.
GOOD SAVE! Burki does well to parry away Neuhaus' attempt from the edge of the area and we have our first corner of the evening which ends up as a goal-kick, even though it should have been another corner...
NO GOAL! Gladbach coach Marco Rose is seething but it was a foul and it was the correct decision by VAR. That was all a bit of a shambles.
GOAL? Neuhaus has scored with 42 seconds on the clock! Bellingham looked to have been barged over in possession just outside his own box by Hoffmann before Neuhaus curls the ball into the top corner. Unsurprisingly it has gone to VAR because it did look a foul and the referee has gone to check the monitor...
- 1st Half
We are underway!
The teams are heading out of the tunnel at Borussia-Park! Kick-off is moments away!
A reminder of what's at stake tonight.
Dortmund are in the building.
Dortmund have had plenty of fun in the Battle of the Borussias in recent times, but a loss against Leverkusen and a 1-1 draw with Mainz before that does not bode well. They will be very keen to bounce back as their opponents Gladbach can leapfrog them into fourth with three points tonight.
For Gladbach it is THREE changes to the team that beat that Werder Bremen 1-0 on Tuesday that moved them to within one point of fourth-placed Dortmund. Captain Lars Stindl, Ramy Bensebaini and Denis Zakaria all come in for Oscar Wendt, Hannes Wolf and Patrick Herrmann.
So it's two changes to the Dortmund team that lost 2-1 to Bayer Leverkusen three nights ago. Thomas Delaney (suspended for yellow card accumulation) and Thomas Meunier drop out for 20-year-old Mateu Morey and Emre Can.
