FT: RB Leipzig 1-3 Borussia Dortmund - It's all over and ait's a massive win for Borussia Dortmund. Sancho was superb, Haaland was ruthless, and Dortmund are back in the mix at the top of the Bundesliga.

GOAL! RB Leipzig 1-3 Borussia Dortmund - Sorloth scores! Some pride restored for Leipzig as Sorloth's header is saved by Bürki, but Sorloth rifles in the rebound from a few centimetres out. It should be nothing more than a consolation for Leipzig.

Dortmund make a change: Tigges on, Sancho off. Sancho deserves his rest.

Game, set and match Dortmund!

GOAL! RB Leipzig 0-3 Borussia Dortmund - Haaland again! It's another one for Dortmund, as this time Reus picks out Haaland with the same reverse pass as used by Sancho, and Haaland takes it around Gulacsi and into the empty net.

Tonight we've seen a rare thing: an accomplished defensive performance by Dortmund.

Leipzig are enjoying plenty of the ball right now but are doing very little with it.

Dortmund look more like adding to their lead than Leipzig finding a way back. The Red Bull look a little impotent in attack, it must be said.

Akanji picks up a yellow for a foul on Poulsen.

GOAL! RB Leipzig 0-2 Dortmund - Haaland makes it two! Sancho lifts the ball to the back post from the left and it's just asking to be nodded in, and Haaland doesn't need to be asked twice. A towering header by the Norwegian sensation which may have just secured the points for Dortmund.

And a change for Leipzig: Hwang on, Haidara off.

Dortmund make a defensive change: Zagadou on, Delaney off.

That would have been a goal out of nothing for Leipzig, who have been second best in this game for a long while.

OLMO OFF THE POST! So close to an equalizer for Leipzig. Adams rolls the ball to Olmo, whose deft turn gets him a sight of goal - but the Spaniard's low shot comes back off the base of the far post.

OFF THE BAR! Sancho pulling the strings again with a fine through ball for Haaland, who leathers his shot against the bar, which is still rattling.

Sorloth's first touch is a woefully over hit cross from the right.

Dortmund have been a completely different team since the break, but then again so have Leipzig. Julian Nagelsmann's side are far less adventurous in this second half, and now he seems to be going more direct now with the introduction of Sorloth.

A double change for Leipzig: Klostermann and Sorloth on, Sabitzer and Forsberg off.

Meunier gets forward down the right and his crosses misses Haaland but finds Sancho, although Sancho's shot is sliced high and wide this time.

Guerreiro goes close! Another rapid counter-attack by Dortmund involving Haaland, who spreads it wide to Can. He tees it up for Guerreiro, who whips a first-time shot at goal but it just clears the bar.

That's Sancho's second goal in as many Bundesliga games, coming after a long barren spell in front of goal. Well, he definitely took that one well.

GOAL! RB Leipzig 0-1 Borussia Dortmund - Sancho scores! Haaland gallops down the right into space and puts in a low ball that Reus helps on to Sancho, who strokes the ball first time into the bottom left corner.

Leipzig just finding themselves under a bit more pressure in this second half compared with the first.

The best two chances of the game and they've both fallen to Dortmund early in this second half.

Can puts a header just over the bar from the resulting corner by Reus.

Reus goes close! Hummels drives forward from the back and finds Sancho, who slips in Reus - but Reus' shot is palmed around the near post by Gulacsi!

SECOND HALF. Peeeeeeep! We're back underway in Leipzig.

HT: RB Leipzig 0-0 Borussia Dortmund - That's that for the first half. An even contest which Leipzig had the better of early on but Dortmund have grown into it. Chances at a premium in this one though.

That's the first time Dortmund have even threatened getting behind Leipzig.

Reus receives Sancho's pass and tried to send a reverse pass towards Haaland, but it's cut out by Sabitzer and cleared by Adams.

A game of few chances, if truth be told. But it's a good old scrap, that's for sure.

Dortmund are forcing Leipzig into defending a bit deeper, but that doesn't make it any easier for Dortmund to make a breakthrough. Leipzig happy to soak it up.

Just as Haaland thinks he's going to get one of his first touches of the game after being released by Reus, Gulacsi is alert and races off his line to clear the ball from the Norwegian.

Delaney picks up a yellow card for a rugby tackle on Forsberg.

Witsel's race is run. The Belgian is carried off and Can comes on for Dortmund. It looks like a pretty bad injury for Witsel.

Witsel has gone down clutching is ankle and is receiving treatment. Emre Can is warming up just in case.

Things not quite clicking for Dortmund in attack so far. They just can't get Reus or Haaland into the game. Sancho and Reyna pretty ineffective so far too.

Misunderstanding between Sancho and Witsel, who thought Sancho would continue his run but the Englishman had checked back.

Hummels is forced the hack the ball out for a corner, but it's one Dortmund clear.

Leipzig starting to pose more of a threat on the break now. With Dortmund starting to commit more players forward, some gaps are appearing.

Angelino again the outball and his cross from the left finds Poulsen, but the Dane can't get the right trajectory on his header and Bürki plucks it from the night sky.

Great turn by Olmo in the box, but Hummels spots the danger and makes a key interception.

Sancho gets in a promising position but completely telegraphs his pass to Reyna and Leipzig can get moving again. Sancho may have recently got his first league goal of the season, but he's so far a shadow of the player of the last couple of seasons.

While there is plenty of aggression and intensity from both sides, little in the way of chances thus far.

Leipzig remain way more aggressive and intensive than their opponents, although Dortmund are starting to see more of the ball.

The game is behind played pretty much exclusively in Dortmund's half. Edin Terzic's side could do with regrouping and try keeping the ball for a bit.

I don't think Erling Haaland has touched the ball yet.

Leipzig work the shot corner back to Angelino, who exposes some static Dortmund defending with a cutback, but Dortmund get away with it as Leipzig see a couple of shots charged down.

Angelino forces a corner as Meunier recovers to make the block. It's all Leipzig early on though.

Olmo drives forward and Sabitzer releases Halstenburg, but the Germany defender's cross is hopelessly overhit, much to Julian Nagelsmann's annoyance on the touchline.

Leipzig have made the more intensive start to this one. Pressing, pushes and generally looking more up for it than Dortmund in the early exchanges.

KICK OFF - Peeeeeeeep! Leipzig get us underway.

Dortmund coach Edin Terzic "January sets the trend for the rest of the Bundesliga season. You can quickly influence the table situation against direct competitors, which is why the match on Saturday is very important."

Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann: "I think it's really important that we continue with the good defensive performances that we've shown recently. That will be an important key to success. My team has unbelievable character and incredible willpower. I get the feeling that that's not going away any time soon."

RB Leipzig are looking to pick up their first win over Borussia Dortmund in their last five attempts. Leipzig's last win against them came in October 2017, although it's Leipzig that come into the game in the better form this time around.

Borussia Dortmund XI: Bürki - Meunier, Akanji, Hummels, Guerreiro - Delaney, Witsel - Sancho, Reus, Reyna, Haaland. Subs: Zagadou, Can, Brandt, Unbehaun, Piszczek, Morey, Schulz, Tigges, Moukoko.

RB Leipzig XI: Gulacsi - Halstenburg, Orban, Upamecano - Adams, Haidara, Sabitzer, Angelino - Olmo, Forsberg - Poulsen. Subs: Sorloth, Borkowski, Martel, Hwang, Wosz, Martinez, Samardzic, Klostermann, Mukiele.
