FC KOLN 1-1 DORTMUND - DORTMUND LOSE GROUND ON LEAGUE LEADERS BAYERN MUNICH IN THE BUNDESLIGA TITLE RACE

Borussia Dortmund are held to a 1-1 draw at Koln to damage the visitors' slim Bundesliga title hopes.

Dortmund needed a victory to close the gap to league leaders Bayern Munich to four points, but they could not find a winner against a hard working Koln side and remain in second and six points behind the Bundesliga champions.

Reyna clatters into the back of Hubers off the ball out of anger. Tonight is set to be an opportunity missed for Dortmund in the Bundesliga title race.

Bellingham, who has been Dortmund's best player on a disappointing evening for the visitors so far, attempts to cross into the box but it flies behind for a goal kick.

Wolf, who is on a yellow, comes off for Pongracic. Reinier is also on for Haaland.

Andersson is replaced by Olesen Uth makes way for Ostrak.

He comes in for Hazard.

But the visitors are struggling to get any shots on goal. They've had just three on target all game with the other six either blocked or wayward.

Duda is booked for a strong tackle and Dortmund have a free-kick. Reyna's cross into the box is nodded behind and Dortmund have another corner. Hummels meets it with a header but it does not find a teammate.

It's Koln's fifth corner of the night but Dortmund clear their lines. Dortmund break at pace and it's three on two but Thielmann make a stunning sliding block to stop Reyna from squaring to Haaland to finish!

Koln have their first sight on goal this half. Duda fires a shot but his effort is blocked and out for a corner. The set-piece swung into the far post is cleared away.

Thielmann comes on for Schaub.

Ozcan slides in late on Can but Haaland is distraught as he is clear on goal before play is pulled back by the referee. Haaland is furious!

Guerreiro comes off to be replaced by Brandt. As a result, Hazard will drop in at left wingback.

The Dortmund defender lunges in late on Ehizibue but he escapes a booking. Koln have a free-kick which Duda swings in and Schaub gets his head to it but he is unable to turn it on target.

STALEMATE

Both sides are struggling to make any real attacking inroads, but the game is still being played at a high intensity. Surely the chances will come soon.

Haaland bursts clear through on goal, but his low driven shot is straight at Schwabe!

The whole match has had to stop while Bellingham gets some new boots on.

His right boot has come off after Ozcan clips his heels and shows it to the fourth official before flinging it to the ground. His boots have ripped and he has to wait to get some new ones now.

The visitors are committing more men forward in search of a goal. Koln are holding firm, though, and are making this a physical contest.
